Meeting Notes for 10-24-2001

We started by trying to think of a number of options for approaching our project.

1. Harvest the literature, find out what people think they want, prototype, and iterate.
2. Harvest the literature, build a set of prototypes that rely on different social concepts, and investigate how people use them. (mainly a study)
3. Pretend that we have all the sensor data and try to figure how to model what is going on in the environment. (pure modeling)
4. Examine abstract representations of busy-ness, such as fabric and other things.

Group consensus is to work on #1.

We were given a new paper from Ubicomp? about Dynamic Door Displays. Seems interesting and relevant.

We need to be sure to answer Raj Reddy's four proposal questions... We will talk about this after briefly diagraming our slides.
