I am a Researcher at AT&T Labs.
I recently completed my Ph.D in the Computer Science Department at CMU, where I worked with Srini Seshan. I received my B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003, where I worked with Brian Barsky, Anthony Joseph, and John Kubiatowicz. I also spent much time at Intel Research and Microsoft Research working with a talented bunch of folks (John Douceur, Ben Greenstein, Jay Lorch, David Wetherall, and Haifeng Yu).
My thesis research focused on analyzing and improving the security and privacy of wireless protocols. I have also worked on scaling peer-to-peer systems, in particular, for online multiplayer games. My broader research focus is on the intersection between the fields of networking, distributed systems, security, and mobility. I approach this space as a systems researcher, meaning that I believe in designing, building, and measuring real systems.
