Area
In my masters, I worked on developing a new sub-sentential alignment algorithm that aims at symmetric probabilistic alignments (SPA) for the CMU Example-Based Machine Translation (EBMT) system.
Currently I'm working on a Chunk-Based EBMT system that includes SPA and various Statistical Machine Translation (SMT) techniques.
In addition Machine Translation, I worked on information retrieval, text clustering and am working on data mining using machine learning approaches.
Dissertation
I proposed my thesis “Chunk Alignment for Corpus-Based Machine Translation” on May 15, 2008.
Group
I'm working in the CMU EBMT group with my advisor Jaime Carbonell, professor Ralf Brown and two PhD students Aaron and Rashmi and a masters student Chenmin.
