Evolution Robotics developed ER1's as an easy-to-use personal robot system that provides robust, real world functionality that can be trained to perform autonomous tasks. The ER1 uses an off-the-shelf webcam coupled with a laptop to act as a human controlled "roving eye", allowing a human to scan different parts of the environment in an attempt to identify objects of interest. |

These rugged multi-purpose robots were designed by NREC for DARPA's Learning Applied to Ground Robots Program. These highly capable autonomous robotic ground vehicles sport a large sensor suite, including a SICK Laser, Garmin GPS, and 3-axis IMU, for autonomous navigation. The LAGRs have the flexibility to operate in indoor as well as outdoor environments, allowing us to expand multi-robot coordination research to include hybrid operating environments. The team currently owns two LAGRs. |

The Pioneer robots are mobile platforms designed by MobileRobots Inc and equipped with a SICK laser scanner, a fiberoptic gyro, and a ring of 16 sonars. The pioneers are the most popular robots used as experimental testbeds for robotics research.Their relatively small physical frame coupled with the on-board sensors make them ideal for multi-robot coordination and mapping in indoor environments. Currently, we have a team of 5 active pioneer robots. |
