I have graduated. My thesis titled, "Structured Probabilistic Models of Proteins across Spatial and Fitness Landscapes," received an honorable mention for the 2011 Doctoral Dissertation award at CMU.

Old Stuff

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department. Previous affiliations have included IIT Madras and Purdue. My primary interests are in Machine Learning and Computational (Structural) Biology. I'm advised by Chris Langmead and Eric Xing.

I was a T.A for Grad AI in Spring 2010, for Undergrad AI(15-381) in Fall '08 and for Probabilistic Graphical Models(10-708) in Fall '07. I spent the summer of 2007 at Microsoft Research, Cambridge where I worked with Anitha Kannan and John Winn.

My Erdős number is 3 (via Gopal Pandurangan and Prasad Tetali).
