Unistalling SpySweeper on your machine

To uninstall Spy Sweeper Home Edition please complete the following steps:

For Windows 2000/XP users

Please perform the following steps:

1. Go to Start, then click on Control Panel (Windows 98 and ME users will need to go to Settings then click on Control Panel)
2. Double-click Add and Remove Programs.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the programs list until you see Webroot.
4. Click on the program you wish to uninstall, then click the Remove button.
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, please restart your computer.

For Windows Vista users

Please perform the following steps:

1. Go to the Start Menu (the Windows logo button) then click on Control Panel on the right hand side of the menu.
2. Depending on the view of your window, you will either see Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features, you will double-click either option.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the programs list until you see Webroot.
4. Click on the program you wish to uninstall, then click the Uninstall button located towards the top of the window.
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, please restart your computer.

Once Spy Sweeper Home edition has been removed you can continue with installing SEP. The SEP installer is available at:

\\monolith.scs.ad.cs.cmu.edu\pc_dist\symantec\endpoint_protection\11.0.2\ 

Note: Before running the Symantec EndPoint installer you should start the SCS VPN client.
