WebISO Authentication Replacement

Day/Date: Monday, July 22, 2013

Service Affected: WebISO/Pubcookie and CS web servers

On July 22, 2013, the www.cs.cmu.edu web servers will begin using Shibboleth instead of Pubcookie for web authentication.

The Shibboleth authentication servers have different URLs and a different look & feel than the Pubcookie servers. To see how the new pages look or if you have concerns about their authenticity, screenshots of the Shibboleth pages and information on how to verify them are at:

https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~help/web_publishing/shib_login.html

Additional mail will be sent shortly with information on how this change and some other upcoming web authentication changes affect content providers and web server administrators.

Thank you for your attention,
