[Support Status] SquirrelMail - End of Support 1/31/17

Effective: January 31, 2017

SCS Computing Facilities will decommission the SquirrelMail webmail client service. The client has not been maintained by the open-source community since 2013 and there is no active development currently in progress. Decommissioning this service will eliminate the need to maintain an application that is past its prime and allow SCS Computing Facilities to continue with Dean Andrew Moore's initiative to eliminate duplicate services and aid in reducing the overall cost associated with current support charges.

Users who still require a web-based client to access their SCS Cyrus mailbox can use Roundcube, a full-featured, graphical webmail interface that has been supported by SCS Computing Facilities for several years. For more information about Roundcube, please see the SCS Computing "Using SCS Webmail" help page at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~help/mail_news/webmail/index.html.

Please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu with any questions or concerns regarding this change.
