[Support Status] Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

[Support Status] Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

Status: Testing (Not currently supported)

Apple has recently released their next operating system, macOS High Sierra. While there is nothing preventing you from upgrading, we do not currently recommend upgrading SCS Macs to High Sierra at this time.

We are aware that macOS High Sierra has compatibility issues with the version of OpenAFS we distribute. Installation of this new OS can result in crashing and/or system instability. If you have OpenAFS installed on your Mac, we strongly advise that you refrain from upgrading to High Sierra until we have resolved this issue.

We are currently testing High Sierra with our configurations and software. You will receive notification once macOS High Sierra (10.13) is supported by SCS Computing Facilities.

If you have any questions regarding macOS support, please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu.
