DAY/DATE: Thursday, March 6, 2014

TIME: 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM

SERVICES AFFECTED: Instance Manager and password-changing services

DETAILS:

The Kerberos Server Maintenance that was scheduled for Wednesday February 26th, 2014 at 7:00AM has been postponed. The maintenance will be rescheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2014. At this time SCS Computing Facilities staff will perform maintenance on the Kerberos authentication servers (KDCs) to apply software security updates. These servers provide authentication for UNIX logins, WebISO, and most SCS services.

Normal Kerberos authentication services are expected to remain available

throughout the maintenance period. However, Kerberos administrative

services, including the Instance Manager, password-changing services, and

UNIX system installation, will be unavailable during this period.

Please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu

with any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance period.
