[Service Update] JAMF Pro (Mac Self Service App) Migration 6/28/17

DAY/DATE: Wednesday, June 28, 2017

TIME: 2:00 PM

SERVICE AFFECTED: JAMF Pro (Mac Self Service App)

DETAILS:

On Wednesday, June 28, 2017, SCS Computing Facilities (SCSCF) will start to migrate from the SCS supported macOS machines from the SCS JAMF Pro service to the Andrew JAMF Pro service as another step in our collaboration effort with Computing Services.

SCSCF utilizes the JAMF Pro Suite of tools for Mac management. These tools enable the delivery of the following support services:

  • Access to SCS software via a Self Service app store
  • Quick installation of SCS printers
  • SCS quick links for support

The migration will happen in the background and JAMF Pro services are expected to remain available throughout the migration period.

If there is an issue with your migration, you will receive an email asking you to download and re-install the Self-Service app on your Mac.

Please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu with any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance period.
