[SCS Support Status] Fedora 7 and 10 - End of Life and Support

Effective: September 30, 2016

Support for Fedora 7 and Fedora 10 was declared End-Of-Life by the Vendor in 2009. As of September 30, 2016, SCS Computing Facilities will stop providing software support for all systems running Fedora 7 and Fedora 10 operating systems.

Existing systems will continue to function but no additional patches, security fixes or troubleshooting will be available for these platforms.

Computing Facilities Software Support charges for these systems will be canceled at that time.

Please use the equipment update interface found on the main SCS Help Pages under Configure and Administer SCS Equipment to either request an operating system upgrade or to retire the system.

You can contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help@cs.cmu.edu with any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance.

Thank you
