Network Outage: CMU and CMU-SECURE Wireless 1/9/2013

SCS Computing Facilities has received the following service outage notification from Computing Services:

DAY: Wednesday

DATE & TIME: January 9, 2013 from 12:50 p.m.

Computing Services staff members are working to resolve an intermittent outage affecting the CMU and CMU-SECURE wireless networks.

SERVICES AFFECTED:

We are currently experiencing problems with the CMU and CMU-SECURE WIRELESS networks. Those who are using WIRELESS may experience periodic instability with their connection, and therefore may not have access to email, Web browsing, and a number of other network-dependent services.

ALTERNATIVES:

If your CMU WIRED network was previously activated, you can temporarily switch to use it.
