SERVICE OUTAGE: MAINTENANCE Wean Hall Andrew Networks 10/03-04

SCS Computing Facilities has received the following service outage notification from Computing Services:

This outage will affect machines on the campus wireless network and Andrew wired network in Wean Hall.

Any SCS machines in Wean Hall connected to the SCS wired network should not be affected by this outage.

DATE/TIME: October 3, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and October 4, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.


Infrastructure upgrades in Wean Hall may affect both CMU and CMU-SECURE wireless networks.


Wireless (CMU and CMU-SECURE) and wired networks: Wean Hall will NOT have access to email, web browsing, and other network dependent services.


Computing Services will be performing scheduled maintenance (infrastructure upgrades) in Wean Hall. The campus community may experience brief outages on both wireless (CMU and CMU-SECURE) and wireless networks during each outage window.
