Upcoming Instance Manager Changes

Service Affected: SCS Instance Manager
On Thursday, April 25, 2013 SCS Computing Facilities staff will make changes to the Kerberos Instance Manager to enable the management of SCS Windows accounts. With this change, existing SCS Windows accounts will be shown in the Instance Manager along with an option to change its password.
In addition, with this change, users will no longer be able to disable and re-enable individual instances. Instead, you should contact the SCS Help Desk for assistance with these tasks. This change was necessary in order to enable SCS Computing Facilities the ability to better protect the user community from break-ins or abuse of systems.
