Emergency Network Outage: Wireless 10/30/2012
SCS Computing Facilities has received the following emergency wireless network outage notification from campus Computing Services.

DAY: Tuesday
DATE & TIME: October 30, 2012 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Computing Services staff members are working to resolve an outage affecting the university's wireless network.
It is recommended that individuals switch to the wired network to maintain connectivity during this outage.
More information regarding this outage will be posted at www.cmu.edu/computing/news/ as it becomes available.
SERVICES AFFECTED:
If you are using a wireless connection, you will not have a network connection. Therefore, you will NOT have access to many services throughout the course of this maintenance (e.g., email, calendar, Internet connectivity, etc.). Likewise, users will not have access to services hosted on servers within your building. To maintain connectivity, switch to a wired connection during this period.
