Critical Windows, Office and Adobe patches released

Microsoft released new patches for critical Windows and Microsoft Office vulnerabilities on December 8, 2009. Also, Adobe released critical patches for Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR.
* All Windows PCs and Macs must be patched. *
To patch your PC:
Click on the update icon on the taskbar (it is a globe or yellow shield with an exclamation point, depending on which version of Windows you're running).
If you do not have such an icon, run Windows Update by going to the site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
All Office 2000 users should also go to the site:
http://officeupdate.microsoft.com
After patching, you must reboot your PC in order for the patches to take effect.
To patch Adobe Flash Player:
Go to:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
and upgrade your version of Flash Player to the latest version, 10.0.42.34.
If you are using Adobe AIR:
Go to:
and upgrade your version of Adobe Air to the latest version, 1.5.3.
If you are the administrator of a Windows server running Active Directory Federation Services, see:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS09-070.mspx
for an important security update.
