Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Information Update

Apple has recently released OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and all new Macs are shipping with this new OS. SCS Computing Facilities does not currently support this software release but will provide a best effort support until Mac OS X 10.6 is fully supported.

SCS Computing Facilities is currently testing this operating system with our standard baseline software. There are known third party software compatibility issues with the OS X10.6 release.

Please report any problems that you are having with OS X 10.6 to SCS Computing Facilities. There is also a third party wiki page available where you can report new or review existing compatibility issues. To review this site, please go to:

Please contact help@cs.cmu.edu or call the SCS Help Desk (x8-4231) if you have questions regarding Mac OS X 10.6 support.

Thank you for your attention,

SCS Help Desk
