Windows XP Service Pack 3 Released
Microsoft has released Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Windows XP. According to Microsoft this Service Pack installs all previously released security updates and hot fixes as well as several new features and component upgrades. The security updates contained in SP3 have already been tested and distributed by SCS Facilities.
Because of the large number of hot fixes and component upgrades, SCS Computing Facilities recommends that users DO NOT install SP3. SCS Computing Facilities Engineers are currently testing and evaluating the Service Pack 3 release. We will deploy the Service Pack once it has been fully tested.
