license-1.srv.cs.cu.edu reboot scheduled

Service Affected: All users that access license-1.srv.cs.cmu.edu

Details:

The machine license-1.srv.cs.cmu.edu server will be rebooted at 10:00PM on Monday January 5, 2009 to pick up a new IP address in accordance with the SCS IP-renumbering initiative. The server will be unavailable during this reboot. This reboot will affect Matlab, CPLEX and SIMICS users.

Also, Matlab R2008B software is now available for the SCS user community. Windows and Mac users must re-install to get the new toolboxes that are available under our new licensing agreement. For a complete listing of the toolboxes please refer to our help pages at:

Please plan accordingly: do not schedule any long running compilations or experiments that would be affected by this maintenance period.

The Matlab license server will be unavailable on Tuesday October 28, 2008 from 6:00AM to 8:00AM to install a new license file. We will also be installing the additional licenses for the new toolboxes that are now supported. For a complete listing of the toolboxes please refer to our help pages at:
