Matlab Service Upgrade

As a part of SCS Computing Facilities commitment to providing reliable and dependable services we are pleased to announce that SCS Computing Facilities and CMU have entered into a new one year agreement with Mathworks to provide Matlab to our user community. This new agreement will provide our users with a larger number of toolboxes and licenses for their use. For a complete listing of the toolboxes please refer to our Help Pages at:

www.cs.cmu.edu/~help/software_licensing/software_licenses/toolboxes.html

SCS Computing Facilities is currently testing the new licensing setup and we plan to have the new toolboxes available by the next Matlab release in October. However, the additional licenses for the existing toolboxes should be available before the October Matlab release.

Windows and Intel-based Mac machines with software support will need to install the latest version of Matlab to access all the new tool boxes. Supported Linux machines will get the software updates via depot.

Please contact the SCS Help Desk at x8-4231 or send mail to help+@cs.cmu.edu with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your attention,
