SCS Mail Server Problem

On Thursday May 10, 2007 the SCS Computing Facilities mail server ugli went off line due to a hardware problem. The Facilities Engineers are working on the problem. At this time there is no estimated uptime.

Update

As of 3:15 PM on Thursday May 10 Array 2 is okay and online. Mail is being served from /cyrus21, /cyrus22, /cyrus23, and /cyrus24.

Array 1 is still off line and is being worked on at this time. Partitions /cyrus17, /cyrus18, /cyrus19, and /cyrus20 are offline until Array 1 is fixed.

Friday May 11, 2007 Morning Update As of 10:00AM this morning the four partitions that were not restored yesterday are partially up, some of the mailboxes have been restored and new mail is arriving. Our Engineers have given us an estimated restoration and uptime of early this afternoon for all partitions.
