SCS Network Outage Scheduled November 25, 2006
DATE/DAY: Saturday, November 25, 2006 from 6:00AM to 7:00AM EST
AREA AFFECTED: Entire SCS network
A software upgrade will be performed on the core SCS router. The upgrade procedure will cause the entire SCS network to be down for at least half of the scheduled maintenance period and full network stability may not be restored until the end of the maintenance window.
During the maintenance window, network connectivity will not be available for all machines on the SCS wired network. Services such as printing, AFS, Windows Domain access, email, connectivity to Andrew, the Internet, and research networks will not be available. Access to the Andrew wireless network will be available during the software upgrade.
