Mailman Service Outage

SUBJECT: Mailman service outage

DATE/DAY: Wednesday, February 8, 2006

AREA AFFECTED: Mailman mailing lists (creation, modification and sending of mail to mailing lists)

On Wednesday, February 8th, the SCS Mailman mailing list system will be upgraded. These upgrades include:

  • The latest version of Mailman
  • Ability to assign multiple list owners for a Mailman mailing list.
  • Ability to assign PTS groups as list owners.
  • All mail sent to mailing list will now be processed by our Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus servers

The service will be unavailable between the hours of 2:00am and 8:00am, Wednesday morning in order to perform the upgrade of the service.
