SCS Computing Facilities Flood Update

This is an update on the flood that occured on Monday December 5th, 2005 in the SCS Computing Facilities machine room located in Wean Hall.

Our electrical and cabling infrastructure was severly damaged by this flood.

As of Tuesday morning December 6th, 2005 we have restored the following core services

• The SCS network including DNS, DHCP and NTP
• Kerberos
• AFS
• Email Services which include the IMAP and UX-servers
• Windows Domain Services
• Web Servers, e.g. the SCS web page
