Service Outage: Network Outage October 29th, 2005

The following announcement is made by SCS Computing Facilities:

On Saturday October 29th, a network outage will affect wireless network connectivity in Smith Hall.

TIME OF EVENT: 6:30 a.m. EDT - 4:30 p.m. EDT

AREAS AFFECTED: Wireless connectivity in Smith Hall; wired connectivity in Smith Hall should not be affected.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

CMU Computing Services is re-terminating a large number of connectors in the Smith Hall wiring closet. The campus wireless connection to Smith Hall will be part of the re-termination work.
