SCS Network Service Outage
Subject: Service Outage: Network outage on March 26, 2005
The following announcement is made by SCS Computing Facilities:
On Saturday March 26th, a network outage will affect the entire SCS network including:
- SCS network connectivity to local machines and services
- SCS network connectivity to Andrew
- SCS network connectivity to the Internet and Research networks
TIME OF EVENT: 3:30 a.m. EST - 6:30 a.m. EST
AREAS AFFECTED: All areas of SCS network
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
An upgrade of the SCS core switch/router will be performed. We expect to have network connectivity available early in the maintenance time period. However, network connectivity may be unstable during the entire scheduled maintenance window.
