Support for Windows 95/98/NT to be phased out

SCS Facilities support for the Windows 95/98/NT4 platform will be phased out on June 30, 2004. Support is being dropped because:

• Microsoft no longer provides mainstream support for 95/98/NT4.
• Very few 95/98/NT systems remain in use and continued Facilities support for this outdated software is no longer practical.

Users who are currently on facilities-supported Windows 95/98/NT4 machines should consider upgrading their systems to a more recent version of Windows in order to continue support. In the coming weeks, all users on 95/98/NT4 will be contacted to determine their best upgrade path. In cases where their current hardware will not allow an upgrade to a supported version of Windows, hardware upgrades will be discussed.
