 Configure "Mail" for MacOS X - IIPhase II - Encrypt outgoing email- Once you have configured your Mail client to access incoming email, open the application and click "Mail," then "Preferences"
- In the "Accounts" window, under the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" section, shown below left, click the "Server Settings" button
- Next, in the "Server Options" window, change the "Server port" to "587," then check the "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" box. Change the "Authentication" type to "Password," then enter your SCS username and Kerberos mail-instance password
Click "OK," then close the "Accounts" window - you should be prompted that the settings have changed. Click "Save," then close and restart Mail.
