Kerberos Instance Management Instructions
SCS Computing Facilities has developed a new web-based tool for managing Kerberos instances. This new tool, available at https://webiso.cs.cmu.edu/instance, allows users to view your current instances, enable and disable them, change passwords, and to create new instances.
This tool is intended to replace Jeeves functionality related to Kerberos principals for user instances and associated passwords.
When using the tool you will have several options.
You will be able to
- Create new SCS Kerberos instances
- Change SCS Kerberos instance passwords
- Disable SCS Kerberos instances
To access the Kerberos Management Tool you will use your SCS Kerberos ID and password via the WebISO interface. This will authenticate you and give you kerberos tickets for this session.
Once you have accessed the tool you will see a listing of all known SCS Kerberos instances. All known instances, those that have been created and those that can be created will each have an individual row with a short description.
To make changes to your listed instances please refer to the instructions below.
