Using the Kerberos Instance Manager

SCS Computing Facilities offers an interactive, Web-based tool for managing Kerberos instances. The Instance Manager deals with Kerberos principals and passwords for user instances. The Instance Manager allows users to view current instances, enable and disable them, change passwords, and create new instances.

The Manager's interface offers several options:

  • Create new SCS Kerberos instances
  • Change SCS Kerberos instance passwords
  • Disable SCS Kerberos instances

Access the Manager via the WebISO interface, using your SCS Kerberos ID and password. This procedure authenticates you and issues Kerberos tickets for the current session. The Manager then lists all your known SCS Kerberos instances, both those already created and those that can be created, each on a single row with a short description.
