I am a third year graduate student. Before coming to CMU, I managed to obtain a bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) in May 2005. My research interests include machine learning and applied algorithms. Specifically, I work in the area of planning under uncertainty. My boss is Carlos Guestrin :). I am also a member of the Select Lab.

I like most sports and workout regularly. Whenever the weather is nice, I play ultimate frisbee (for which we maintain a mailing list). Let me know if you are interested in playing ultimate and want to get on the mailing list. If the weather is not frisbee-able (too cold or rainy), I play badminton, racquetball, squash or table tennis. I also love watching movies.

I am also part of the CMU Indian Graduate Student's Association (IGSA). Among other things, I maintain the website. If you are at CMU and want to design a better webpage for IGSA, please contact me!

Things I am doing right now
Research A new algorithm for solving POMDP's (Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes)
Select Lab Reading Group Multi Agent Systems (under preparation) by Kevin Leyton-Brown and Yoav Shoham
Eric Xing's Reading Group Convex Optimization by Stephen Boyd and Lieven Vandenberghe
Course Statistical Machine Learning
