Pittsburgh Sri Lankan Community Tsunami Relief Effort About

About

Sri Lankans in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas have come together to identify short and long term projects that can help the tsunami victims in Sri Lanka. We are collecting funds to be distributed directly to victims and grass root organizations whilst avoiding overheads associated with large charities. As more than one-third of the victims are children, we will specifically focus on their welfare.

We are partnering with Lanka Academic Network or LAcNET, to collect funds. LAcNET is a non-profit volunteer organization run by Sri Lankan students, teachers and professionals from all over the world. The Pittsburgh Sri Lankan community will direct these funds to Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.
