Dear Friends,
It is with immense sense of sorrow, shock and grief that we reach out to you. You may be well aware of the loss of precious lives and the destruction caused by the tsunamis in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka is one of the worst hit countries.
We, the Sri Lankan Community in Pittsburgh, despite the pain, are highly resolved to help the affected communities back home in their darkest hour of need. Based on reports from friends, family and authorities in Sri Lanka, the immediate need is in terms of cash, mostly due to it ease of deployment. Medical supplies, food and water are in dire need as well.
