Notes:

• 412-268-1590 (my office number) rings my cellphone. Please feel free to call anytime (even early or late). I turn it off when calls are inconvenient. And, I do often keep late nights.
  
  
• Office hours: These times are reserved for drop-in meetings. Please do not ask for an appointment during one of these times. Instead, please drop by -- but please do be prepared to share the time with others.
  
  
• Meetings/Prep: You are welcoem to drop by during these times and, if I am free, I surely be glad to help. But, I am likely to have appointments and meetings during these times, so calling first, or making an appointment for this timeslot, is a really good idea.
  
  
• Often Available: Please feel free to drop by or to request an appointment during these times. If you'd like an appointment, please ask for one one full business day in advance. Otherwise, you are most welcome just to drop in. I always suggest calling as you head over, just so that, if I've wandered somewhere, I can find my way back. And, sadly, sometimes I'll have an appointment or be in a meeting, and you'll probably appreciate finding that out before you get here.

  Appointments are best if you need a longer chunk of focused time that is unshared with others, and during the often-busy periods right around mid-semster or before major exams.
  
  

• Sometimes Available: As above for "Often available", but somewhat more often used for meetings or work in labs, machine rooms, and other out-of-office places.
  
  
• Lunch, Dinner, other times: If other times aren't convenient for you, I can often meet you during these times.
