I was looking at a row of horses, galloping hard shoulder to shoulder, thundering forward on some vital desparate mission. Their eyes radiated sentience, awareness, fear. Unconsciously I was running towards them, trying to cut across their path Nearest to me was Ellsavaro, my mount, she recognized me, but didn't dare stop or deviate. Then I stumbled, and fell, and as my hands touched her, her fur hardened and she turned to stoneshe fell forward over me, into the dirt. All the other horses stopped running forward, started milling around me as I lay on the ground next to the statue of my mount, neighing in confusion.
There was this great howling wind and then I'm looking down on the whole scene from above, looking down from a great height at a bunch of distraught horses and a statue and me lying there. Then the entire scene rotated, a huge stygian vortex opened up, and my body and Ellsavaros statue and all the horses are all sucked en masse into the big black whirlpool. I woke up very sad.
Cambra dreams of a beautiful white horse, galloping through the hills on a dark night. While the animal is strong and intelligent, there seems to be something wrong. It's being "ridden". On the back of the mount's head is a strange creature: something like a brain with legs. This is obviously a creature that needs to be rescued rather than just found -- you probably detach the brain-like thing from your steed first. Cambra feels that by concentrating, she would know where to head to find this creature. The horse is somewhere far to the north of the Keeplands.
