Kensai Duelling Rules --------------------- These are rules for a duel between two kensai. The object of the duel is to strike summoned monsters repeatedly until they go poof. A kensai wins the duel if he receives credit for making the majority of the monsters go poof. The duel ends when one kensai wins or when all the monsters have gone poof. Credit for making a monster go poof is assigned to the kensai who strikes it at the moment it goes poof. Previous strikes on that monster receive no credit. If both kensai strike a monster at the moment it goes poof, neither kensai receives credit. Both kensai must honestly attempt to ensure that the duel is carried out under the following conditions: * All relevant details of the summoning, such as the number and level of summoning spells and the time and place at which each spell is cast, are agreed upon by both kensai in advance of the summoning. * The selected weapons of the kensai remain in good condition during the entire duel. * Neither kensai is attacked, parried, or otherwise interfered with at any time from the agreement to duel until the end of the duel. * The monsters are not damaged, healed, or otherwise affected by anyone other than the kensai, except for being told by the summoner not to attack. * The duel is not affected by any magic other than the summoning. In particular, neither kensai benefits from magic items. If any of these conditions are violated, neither kensai wins the duel. Exception: If the conditions are intentionally violated by one kensai, then the other kensai wins the duel.
