When do I need to define the start scan and the end scan? [4/21/97]FAST-MAP assumes that the gel image consists of MOSTLY data. If this is not the case, you can define Start Scan and End Scan in prep_view to crop away the excess un-used gel regions. In addition, Start Scan is useful in cropping away the primer bands in the smallest bp region. If there was an abundant primer peak on the gel, FAST-MAP can confuse them with the actual data.
