I was born in New Jersey, but spent most of my childhood in Taipei. I attended middle school and high school in Danville, CA, then went to UC Berkeley.

My interest in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) began when I started working with Jennifer Mankoff on the Nutrition Project back at Berkeley. Although at first it was 6th floor Soda access that got me interested in joining the research group, after a few years in this field, I have finally understood the importance of HCI.

Technology continues to change everyday; however, change often comes with a cost. HCI research helps ensure that not only will technology benefit us, but that it will also do so at minimal cost.

During my spare time...back when I had some spare time, I used to do sports, play counter-strike, and stare at my turntables.
