I am a fifth year Ph.D. student at the
Human-Computer Interaction Institute at
Carnegie Mellon University.
My advisors are
Scott Hudson
and
Robert Kraut. I am broadly intersted in Human-Computer Interaction.
My research focuses on understanding, designing and developing technologies that leverages economic market and social mechanisms.
More recently, I am exploring how monetary payments affect question and answer (Q&A) systems.
Prior to graduate school, I spent some time conducting research in the domain of ambient and peripheral displays.
I studied the use of public, interactive displays at a Cafe with
Elizabeth Churchill.
Before that, I studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!). While I was there, I worked with
Jennifer Mankoff and
Anind Dey, who are both at
HCII now, on the evaluation of ambient and peripheral displays.
