Lecture 5: Judgments as Types

We continue the representation of evaluations via the judgments-as-types paradigm. We also incrementally introduce additional features of the LF meta-language, motivated by requirements of the encoding. In particular we will see the need for type conversion, which drastically changes the character of the type theory and accounts for much of its expressive power.
