Lecture 7: Pi-Calculus in Linear Logic

We begin with a discussion of quantifiers and parametric judgments, a notion we have neglected so far, but will be necessary to understand the notion of name in the pi-calculus.

We then show a particular encoding of the pi-calculus that exploits many features of linear logic. We will exhibit a few points on which this encoding is not completely faithful to Milner's formulation and indicate how these differences may be reconciled.
