I am a second year PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests span problems related to networking and distributed systems. I am advised by Professor Peter Steenkiste. Earlier, I completed my BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from LUMS, Pakistan.

June '08: Our work on opportunistic caching in multi-hop mesh networks will appear in ACM MobiCom 2008.
May '08: Our preliminary work on M2 has been accepted for publication at ACM SIGCOMM Workshop on Mobility in the Evolving Internet Architecture (MobiArch'08)
Research
I am currently working on M2 which is a network architecture for wireless Internet access. I am also looking at specific ways to improve performance
in emerging wireless scenarios such as multi-hop mesh networks and vehicular wifi access.
During my undergrad, I was involved in research related to MPLS/GMPLS, restoration routing, and resource allocation.
