My research interests are in natural language processing and machine learning.
My advisor is Noah Smith, I am a member of Noah's ARK. Prior to CMU, I was a Monbukagakusho (文部科学省) fellow at the University of Tokyo in Tanaka-Ishii's Lab. In the summer of 2013, I interned at Google Research, New York. My hosts were Gideon Mann and Thomas Fu. I did a tutorial on Structured Sparsity in Natural Language Processing: Models, Algorithms, and Applications at EACL 2014 with Andre F. T. Martins, Noah A. Smith, and Mario A. T. Figueiredo.
