The patent was originally filed on December 19, 1979. The Assignee at the time the patent was issued was was Frank Zurn, Hollywood, California. On April 19, 1982, the patent was assigned to Lafayette Ronald Hubbard, Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead, Sussex, England. On February 13, 1989, the patent was distributed to Norman F. Starkey. On January 18, 1994, the Cpatent was assigned to the Church of Spiritual Technology, 419 North Larchmont, #162 Los Angeles, California 90004. The patent cited the following other patents. Meyer, 3,841,316; Shaw, 3,980,073, Lock, 4,016,870; Tomacek, 4,112,923. Also cited was the article Lie Detector, by J. Jacobs in Elektor magazine, November 1975 p. 1143. Also another article called Integrated Circuit Measurement of Skin Conductance, by R.D. MacPherson in the Behavioral Research Methodology and Instrumentation, August 1976 page 361-364. Also an article called Non-Polarizing, High Accuracy Skin Resistance Transducer for Digital Conversion, by H. Zimmer, and American Journal and Electronics, April -June 1964, pages 101-104. Description: a device for measuring and indicating changes in the resistance of a living body including a single battery sources, a means for setting a reference voltage level provided across the battery, a unity gain high input impedance and low output impedance buffer amplifier having as its input the reference voltage level, a balanceable resistance bridge having the output of the buffer amplifier applied thereto and having the living body coupled thereto as a part of the bridge, a meter amplifier for amplifying any imbalances in the bridge caused by chances in the resistance of the living body and a meter coupled to the output of the meter amplifier for indicating the changes in resistance fo the living body. The patent recently expired.
