ancing clears the cobwebs from my computer-hunched frame. I leap to my feet and imagine myself in my kilt made from the Wallace tartan. You may have heard of William Wallace, Braveheart, the hero of Scotland.
Since 1995 I have learned more than a dozen different dances. I have performed at various events, including the Pittsburgh Folk Festival. I have also competed at Scottish Games, dancing the Highland Fling and the Sword Dance, among others. Come see for yourself the next time you visit the Laurel Highlands in September. Make plans to attend the Ligonier Highland Games.
