PawPaw arrived early on January 2nd and left late on January 5th.  It was a short trip but we were able to pack a lot of activity and fun into the few days.

Some activities included: Visiting CMU and riding a Segway, watching a professional tennis match between the #1 ranked player in the world, Roger Federrer and David Ferrar (not sure what he's ranked), touring the traditional souqs, shopping malls, going to see the camel race track and eating (Turkey Central, Fudrucker's, Burger King, Corniche Seafood and in our home).

Trip to China
Never thought we'd be in China!  Never thought we'd be in Qatar either but here we are.  We had the opportunity during a school break to visit with David's cousin (Bill) and his wife (Jessica).

Bill and Jessica are teaching English at Ningbo University.  They were also on a school break so it worked out perfectly for all of us.

Our Agenda:

Day 1:  Arrive in Shanghai and train to Ningbo
Day 2:  Ate at #3 Restaurant, Toured Ningbo University, Went to Tianyi Square, ate at Blandina's Place and went to taste test different types of tea
Day 3:  At at Smell Restaurant (they had bacon), went to Gulou Market, bought bicycles and rode a pedicab to Cheng Huang Miao (pagoda)
Day 4:  Ate at Huo Quo Restaurant, Girls went to Metro and watched a movie, Boys watched a movie and picked up bicycles, ate dinner at home (nice pork roast)
Day 5:  Church, Yihe Teahouse for lunch,  Adventure buying bus tickets, take out for dinner and watched a movie
Day 6:  First day in Hangzhou, Linying Si Temple, Xi Hu/West Lake and Wushaa Road Night Market
Day 7:  Second day in Hangzho, Liu He Ta (Pagoda) and Pagoda Park (had 100 small replicas of other Pagoda's around China) and Hefang Market Street
Day 8: At at the Godmothers Restaurant and left for Shanghai
Day 9:  Day trip to Zhouzhuang Water Village, ate a Pork Knuckle

You may have noticed that we listed a lot of places that we ate at.  This was one of our favorite things to do in China.  The food was excellent and with Bill and Jessica's help we ate the best they had to offer...all very very good!  Some of our favorites:  Qie Zi (eggplant), Feng Qui Chaodo (egg and tomato) and Youzi (Grapefruit like but better).
