Chinese New Year
We celebrated the Chinese New Year with two different events.  We had a Chinese food potluck (we made Easy Chicken Corn Soup and Chinese Flag Cake) at Anqi and John’s place and we made dumpling’s at Haijing’s place.  Both were a great deal of fun.

At our 18 week check up we were able to see the gender of our baby.  It’s a boy!  We have decided on naming him Elijah Dale Duke.  Check out the clip and see him move around.

Scavenger Hunt

We faced 3 other teams in a scavenger hunt around town.  After spending three hours driving in Doha we met back at the school to share pictures, laughs and pizza.  Kristin, Keith and Lisa took top honors with a grand total of 231 points.  David, Eli and I won the Creativity Award…does it sound like a pity award to you too?

Towering genius disdains a beaten path.  It seeks regions hitherto unexplored - Abraham Lincoln

We focused on the third category in the Scavenger Hunt…the Ansel Adams category.  We were given a series of quotes that needed to interpreted in some creative way in picture form.  See the towering genius above-ha ha!

CMU-Q Students vs Employees

The students, anxious to find any team they could beat, challenged the old guys to a game of indoor soccer.

Had the employees been a bit more in shape it might have been a good game to watch.
