The soldiers were disguised with a change self spell, and got away by hiding in a rope trick about 100 ft back from the cave entrance. The unpopular drow was left behind, along with a wizard's familiar. The familiar is a variant creature, similar in spirit to a quasit or imp. It's natural form is a spider, but it can polymorph into a few other small creatures and has some illusion creation capabilities. It snuck out of the cave w/o anyone noticing ... something doesn't have to be invisible to be hidden ^_^. In that vein of thought, just because one hears something doesn't mean it is there ... about half of the rustlings I mentioned were harmless, and the rustling in the drow fight actually came from them throwing stuff elsewhere and dropping balls of silence on themselves. The house was there to get a further look at how the party behaves and organizes at night. The wizard pursuing the party wasnt particularly strong, but she was strong and in trouble because the scouts in the Engel region were dead. Hence, she was sent to investigate while the area received further (more powerful reinforcements). Oh, the horses were from a wand of mount. I probably should have used giant spiders as steeds instead, but forgot :-/. Darkness is from a massive spell ... it'll take some time to work. Sickness, strange wildlife, was from underdark radiation, I figured the drow had brought up some major sources of it. names are attached. Interesting drow ideas can be found at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=drow It's a nice source for creative input. I'd encourage you to have nonstandard creatures and such, and to change what was following the party etc. I'll try to roleplay as if I wouldn't know the info, but there is still a difference no matter how hard I try. As for yuan-ti, they've been rather underdeveloped so far, so making stuff up for them might be nice. Or going north to the Elven kingdom would be good too ... james had suggested that but I sortof forgot :-/ Last be more organized than me ^_^. I had the maps in my head, but it is easy to mess (which I did), so is better to have them drawn out and prepared. enjoy! avi s ----- "There are only two kinds of math books.
