It would last much longer, for one thing. > Enlarge Recall that enlarge needs to be caster level 5. It's 125gp for scrolls, 250gp for potions, 3750gp for wands, 1875gp for half-wands. > centaur Okay, but note that horses tend to have trouble in rocky areas (or on stairs). I guess Tidefell would have had problems anyway. > We still should have been better prepared, though; I assume Gridley will > be memorizing See Invisibility from now on, since we've been attacked > twice by invisible clerics bolstering undead. Clerics don't get See Invisibility. (Nor do they get Invisibility, except as a Trickery domain spell.) Following this line of thought further produces some interesting insights. ---------- From Etale: > Alright, before we leave town if possible, I'll ask them for more up to > date maps to the Necropolis and of the Necropolis itself. Otherwise, um > ssgdhrfujbds4t7weuhrfgj !! Yeah, you can pretty clearly see two bridges on the provided map of the island. One leads to Kher Keep, the other to Diamond City. Thinking about it afterwards, you could hardly have known there would be such a huge ambush on the one bridge (but comparatively little on the other...) Maybe my comment was a little harsh. But, well, you survived. That's what's important, right? -- Maps of Necropolis are very poor: they basically show the Onyx River flowing past a mountain, and there's a great big (about 1000 feet) block of stone next to it marked "Necropolis". The only known living creatures who've seen inside it since before the War were Sir Diamondblade and his party; none of them returned, so very little is known about the interior. The mountain probably would have been named Onyx Mountain, if the genius who came up with all the Diamond names for everything else on the island had been still around. It has onyxes the way Diamond Mountain has diamonds. There's a nice big entrance in front of the block of stone, and there could be underwater passageways leading in from the river as well. ---------- From Gridley: > I propose once again that we sell the wand of undectable alignment. > Trade in value will be over 2,000g, which would allow us to buy, for > example, four fully charged wands of cure light wounds. That is a lot of wands of cure light wounds. Just as a note, I do not support the Nethack rule that you can break a wand to release all the charges at once. ---------- From Enajien: > Are we going to try again and balance everyones magic items? The sun blade is worth fifty thousand. You will not be able to achieve a good balance. (Which is not to say that you shouldn't try.) ---------- From Gridley: > This will also ward Souffle and Big > Red under the familiar rules.
